Parent Body Literacy & Puberty Support
Real information | Real language | Real confidence.
Because when you understand what’s happening inside their body, everything feels a little less terrifying, for both of you
Let’s be honest.
Most of us didn’t get a great puberty education.
So it’s no surprise that supporting our kids through it can feel… slightly intimidating.
This is where we change that.
Through practical, evidence-based body literacy education, I help parents understand what’s actually happening during puberty, so you can guide conversations with confidence (and without Googling at 11pm).
Practical Parent Workshops
Our workshops are interactive, evidence-based, and designed to remove the shame from conversations about growing up. We empower parents with practical language and the building blocks of body literacy, ensuring you can guide your children with confidence and clarity.
Whether you are beginning early conversations or supporting a teenager through hormonal shifts, these sessions help you create a natural, open dialogue that protects your child’s wellbeing and strengthens your connection at home.
We offer two pathways to support your family:
The Parent Masterclass
A deep, science-backed session designed specifically for parents and carers. We explore hormones, brain development, emotional regulation, and body changes in a clear and practical way, equipping you to be the calm, informed presence your child needs during every stage of development.
The Family Connection Session
A guided session designed for parents and children to attend together. In a safe, engaging, and age-appropriate environment, we break the ice around body changes and growing up, building a shared language that makes conversations at home feel easier, more natural, and far less awkward.
Language that feels natural, not awkward
Age-appropriate ways to explain big body changes
Tools to handle tricky or unexpected questions
Strengthen your relationship through confident, open communication
Resources for at Home
Simple, saveable tools you can revisit whenever you need a little extra guidance and clarity.
Questions Parents Often Ask
When is the right time to start these conversations?
+
As early as possible! Using correct names for body parts and talking about how our bodies grow sets a foundation before puberty even begins. Starting early makes it a normal, everyday topic.
What if I don't know the answer to a question?
+
That's completely okay. Being honest and saying, "That's a great question, let's find out together," actually builds more trust than having all the answers instantly. It models healthy curiosity.
How do I talk about hormones without making it sound scary?
+
We frame hormones as our body’s "internal messengers" that help us grow, learn, and feel. It’s about science-backed curiosity and understanding the body's natural rhythms, not fear.
Is my child too young for this information?
+
Children usually ask when they are ready to know. Giving age-appropriate, factual answers helps prevent them from finding confusing or misleading information elsewhere on the internet.
What language should I use to avoid shame?
+
Focus on biology. Instead of using "good" or "bad" labels, talk about how the body actually works and the amazing things it does every day to support and keep us safe.
What if I feel awkward talking about this?
+
That’s normal, most of us didn’t grow up with confident, open conversations about our bodies. It’s okay to feel nervous and out of your depth (and like this has come way earlier than you expected) What matters is how we frame the conversation, children take their cues from us, the tone in our voice and the language we use can shape how they feel about their bodies for years to come.
Approaching these conversations with calm, matter-of-fact clarity helps ensure curiosity never turns into shame and allows for a trusting and open conversation and relationship going forward
