Puberty Education for Schools

Evidence-based, age-appropriate puberty education designed for school and homeschool settings

At The Empowered Body Co, we partner with schools and community organisations to deliver structured, curriculum-aligned puberty education that goes beyond the basics, and is tailored to your needs.

Our programs are designed to support principals, HPE leads, wellbeing teams and coordinators in providing clear, consistent, shame-free education that builds body literacy and confidence in young people.

We focus on practical understanding, how hormones influence mood, growth, performance and identity so students are equipped with language, knowledge and self-trust.

Curriculum-Aligned & Age-Appropriate

Our programs are meticulously mapped to state health and HPE Australian curriculum V9 frameworks, providing schools with evidence-based education that directly supports student outcomes. We prioritise age-appropriate content that bridges the gap between scientific health information and real-world experience.

We align with existing wellbeing priorities to ensure sessions integrate seamlessly into your school calendar. Our approach is inclusive and trauma-informed, creating a safe, respectful learning environment where young people can explore the physical and emotional changes of puberty with clarity and confidence.

What Makes Us Different

Puberty education isn’t one-size-fits-all. And it shouldn’t be delivered like it is.

At The Empowered Body Co, our programs are built on a unique combination of lived experience, classroom expertise and clinical understanding. With a background in Midwifery, Teaching, sexual health education and neuroscience, our approach bridges real-world experience with evidence-based education.

We understand the classroom.
We understand the physiology.
And we understand the social and emotional landscape young people are navigating.

And importantly, our content goes beyond “the basics.”

Students don’t just learn what puberty is. They learn:

• How hormones act as internal messengers that influence mood, motivation and behaviour
• How nutrition supports energy, concentration and development, framed as food as fuel, not food rules
• How sleep, stress and social dynamics interact with hormonal changes
• How respectful language shapes identity and peer relationships

By connecting physiology with everyday experience, we help students understand not only what is changing, but why.

Our sessions are:

• Neurodivergent-aware and inclusive in delivery
• Trauma-informed and shame-free
• Flexible and adaptable to suit individual classrooms, cohorts and school communities
• Designed in modular sections, allowing schools to tailor content to their specific needs and wellbeing priorities

No two schools are identical. Our programs reflect that.
